Ditching Jojoba Oil for Coconut Oil

Beeswax wraps are typically made from beeswax, pine tree resin, and jojoba oil. We swapped out the traditional jojoba oil in favor of coconut oil. In a society where .6% - 3% of the US population has a nut allergy, we feel that having nut free alternatives is essential.

Despite its name, coconuts are not nuts. They are classified as fruits, and therefore nut-allergy friendly. Along with being safe for nut allergies coconut oil is also rich in lauric and caprylic acid. Both acids are antibacterial and antimicrobial; aiding in keeping your beeswax wraps clean and safe.
